As part of my multi-wedding weekend, from Wang and Bun’s Vegas wedding, to Ana and Socheat’s wedding back in DC. Gotta love those 5hour energy drinks! I know they’re probably not healthy but the work. Having shot their e.session earlier this year, I’ve been looking forward to shooting this wedding since because they are such a photogenic couple. Plus I get to see some familiar faces from Sophia and Matt’s wedding last year. I was also looking forward to working with Teresa Lee from Rex & Regina. They do great work and it’s always a pleasure to work with them. The venue was at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City.
I am a big fan of lighting because it makes a huge difference especially during the reception. And I tell all my couples the importance of lighting. It makes it dramatic and adds depth to the photos. It’s an extra expense, but you get a wow factor and it’s absolutely worth it. From uplighting to pinspotting to gobos. I really liked the purple lighting used in this wedding.
