Woke up at 3am and was dropped off to DCA by my very kind sister, Maricor. Layover in Miami with just enough time to grab a Cuban sandwich and a Jamaican patty. Then landed at MBJ with a few hours to rest and meet with the resort coordinator and Shayna and Derek at the rehearsal. After the rehearsal, I grabbed a few drinks at the bar and met very nice people from Alberta, Canada while it rained cats and dogs.
This was the second wedding I’ve photographed at the Rose Hall Resort in Montego Bay. It is under new ownership and it has changed quite a bit for the better. We started shooting prep shots early afternoon. And when the ceremony started, it started drizzling so I fired off as many shots with as many different angles and feel as possible before the skies opened up. Luckily, there was plan B and the ceremony was relocated to the gazebo yards away. We shot portraits after the storm stopped and I that gave us dramatic backgrounds. Though the ceremony was briefly interrupted by mother nature, I believe they will forever cherish these photos with such picturesque backdrops.
